Managing setbacks

It’s very common to have a setback when we over-do things or try to ‘keep up’ with others, so it is useful to have a setback plan. Setbacks nearly always pass and having a plan in place can make it easier.

If you are fitter, balance daily activities so you are less tired and have less pain. This will help you reduce how often you have setbacks – and how long they last. Cut back on activities by about 50%, keep stretching and do more relaxation every day.
