What is Illiotibial Band Syndrome?
Illio Tibial Band Syndrome is a pain on the outside of your knee, made worse by:
- Running, particularly if it involves hills
- The pain may be at its worst after a run
What can I do?
- Rest from running

How can I prevent it?
- Keep the muscles in your legs flexible by doing stretches regularly
- Wear appropriate footwear while running
- Keep the muscles in your legs strong by doing regular strengthening exercises
